Comic Con was really special for me this year. The love that I felt when I walked onto that stage and everybody held up pictures of white tulips in support, it was seriously the highlight of my career. That episode of course meant so much to me, and it means so much to the series in general as far as hope and all the great things it represents. I was blown away, I honestly wasn’t certain that I could continue because I thought, you know, ‘this is amazing.’ Something that started out as a little idea in a brain that made a script and a story touched so many people and means so much to so many people, we rarely get the chance as writers to see that. You’re not in a band where you can see people applaud and if you suck, they boo. We’re sort of working in a vacuum. My fantasies, my ideas of what’s profound and what moves me, to see that it moves others really is impactful.
